Pepper is a 1-year-old, 40 lb German Shepherd mix looking for a foster or foster-to-adopt home through absolutely no fault of her own. She’s a happy, playful girl with so much love to give and is ready to find a family that can continue helping her grow into the amazing dog she’s meant to be.

Pepper is:

✅ Independent but affectionate
✅ Good in the car and enjoys rides
✅ Able to co-exist with cats
✅ Walking well using a gentle leader

Pepper is still young and learning her manners. She can get very excited and may jump up to say hello, so her people will need to consistently redirect her when she gets overly enthusiastic. She’s eager to interact and just needs guidance and structure as she matures.

She is not crate trained, so a home willing to continue working on training and routine would be ideal. Pepper would thrive with an active family or person who can give her exercise, playtime, and continued positive reinforcement.

Despite her energetic personality, Pepper is a truly friendly and loving girl who just wants to be included and have fun.
