Candy is a 4 year old, 53 lbs mixed breed momma who has already given so much in her life, now it’s her turn to be cared for. This sweet, resilient girl is looking for a foster home where she can finally relax, feel safe, and just be a dog.

Her Personality
Candy is truly a home angel. Indoors, she’s calm, gentle, and incredibly well-mannered. She bonds deeply with her people and greets even strangers with a wagging tail. She’s social, affectionate, and loves being part of the family.

Outdoors, Candy’s playful side shines, she enjoys walks, running, swimming, and games like fetch. She would thrive with a foster who enjoys an active routine and can give her at least two walks a day.

Social Skills
• Dogs: Very social and friendly with proper introductions
• Cats: Not fully tested, will need slow, careful intros
• Kids: Gentle with children she has met

Training & Habits
• Housebroken (outdoor potty trained)
• Crate trained indoors (not comfortable in car kennels)
• Leash: Pulls and may react to dogs out of excitement, but improves with guidance
• Rarely barks indoors
• Mild separation anxiety at first, but settles quickly

Candy has no behavioral issues in the home, she just needs continued support with leash manners and calm greetings outside.

The Home She Needs
Candy would do well as an only dog or with other medium to large dogs. She’s looking for a foster who can offer:
• A stable, loving environment
• Daily exercise and outdoor time
• Patience to continue her leash training
• Lots of love (she has so much to give in return)
