Theo (Theodore) is a 3-year-old mixed-breed dog, approximately 40 lbs, with a likely mix of Shepherd and Beagle in his background. He is a super calm, loving, and happy boy whose favorite thing is simply to lay next to you and be your best buddy. Theo is extremely attached to his person and thrives on attention, cuddles, and companionship. He is also a huge fan of car rides, toys, and treats, and is highly food motivated.

Theo has a low energy level -  he enjoys calm walks, quiet time, and relaxing indoors. He gets along well with kids, older people, and other dogs, though he can get jumpy when meeting someone new. With gentle guidance, he listens well and quickly calms down. He tends to resource guard food and toys from other dogs, but overall he is very good-natured and independent, often preferring to do his own thing. Theo does well in a crate though he may whine at first when left alone. He is not fond of being outside for long periods, likely due to past experiences, and can be sensitive to loud or fast noises. He is partially trained, knowing commands like sit, paw, and sometimes lay down, though his leash skills could use some work. Theo does not normally bark, but he may jump on new people out of excitement.

Theo is looking for a patient, loving home with someone who can provide consistency, gentle guidance, and understanding, especially regarding his attachment and resource guarding. He would thrive in a calm environment where he can feel safe, loved, and appreciated for the sweet, loyal companion he is.
