Hi, I’m Peanut  - a bully mix, about a year old, and roughly 30 lbs of goofy, clumsy, happy-go-lucky love. I’m basically a chonky baby with a short attention span and a big heart. I’m affectionate, playful, and very people-focused. I love following my humans around so closely that I sometimes trip on their heels (personal space is not really my thing). Couch snuggles are my specialty, and once I’m on your lap, it’s over. I have moderate energy: I enjoy playing, especially chase and bitey-face with other dogs, but I’m also perfectly happy to chill and enjoy downtime. I’m a very balanced dog player and not too intense, though I will be all up in another dog’s space -  so any canine friends should be cool with that. I don’t care about the sex or age of other dogs, and I’d likely love having a dog buddy to learn from. That said, I could also be an only dog as long as I stay socialized, because I really adore my people.

I’m food-motivated, love chewy toys and bones, and I’m not bothered by loud noises. I’m not much of a barker, not very vocal at all, and I haven’t chewed anything naughty. I don’t jump much unless I’m really excited, and I respond well to a simple “no.” I do best with structure, consistency, and accountability. I settle very well in my crate and should continue using one to maintain good habits. I’m mostly house-trained, with the occasional accident as I adjust to new environments. I walk… but I don’t really understand why yet -  I tend to put on the brakes, so I’ll need someone patient to help me figure that out.

I’m friendly with kids, but I’m a solid little guy and not always the most gentle, so I’d do best with older children who won’t get accidentally knocked over. If you’re looking for a loving, silly, slightly derpy companion who will adore you endlessly, stick close to your side, and thrive with guidance and routine -  I might just be your guy. 

I am neutered, up to date on vetting, heartworm negative and come with 30 days of free pet insurance to an approved adopter.
