Meet Rex – your future best friend

Rex is a 2 year old, 100 pound Rottweiler/Lab mix with an even bigger heart than his size suggests. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate companion who just wants to be close to his people, Rex might be your perfect match.

Rex is one of those rare dogs who truly loves love. He’ll happily climb in close, rest his big head on your chest, and gaze at you with the softest eyes before sneaking in a few gentle kisses. He’s playful in the sweetest way, sometimes mouthing your hand when he’s excited, but always incredibly gentle.

Despite his size, Rex is a low-energy boy who enjoys calm walks and quiet time at home. He walks beautifully on a loose leash (often right by your side!) and is an absolute dream to take out. He’s also great in the car and perfectly content relaxing in his crate without a peep.

Rex would thrive in a calmer home where someone is around often to spend time with him. He’s a total “velcro dog” who just wants to be near his people. He’s dog-friendly and non-reactive, though he’s more of a quiet companion than a playmate. He could live with another calm dog or be just as happy soaking up all the attention as your one and only.

He’s housetrained, crate trained, enjoys car rides and has a gentle temperament. While he hasn’t lived with kids or cats yet, his calm nature suggests he could do well with respectful children (just mindful of his size when he leans in for cuddles!).

He’s a bit unsure around vacuums and sometimes startles at loud noises or passing cars but he’s already gaining confidence every day.

Rex doesn’t ask for much, just a calm, loving home and someone to share his big heart with. In return, he’ll give you endless affection and companionship.

If you’re looking for a loyal, gentle, deeply affectionate best friend, Rex is waiting.
