Max is a 3.5-year-old, 75-pound bundle of love, energy, and personality who’s ready to find his forever home!
This sweet boy is the definition of a cuddle bug—he truly believes he’s a lap dog and always wants to be close to his people. Whether it’s snuggling on the couch or hopping into the car for an adventure, Max is happiest when he’s by your side.
What makes Max special:
Loves everyone—people, dogs, and life in general!
Fantastic on leash and enjoys getting out for walks and adventures
Crate trained and comfortable with routine (but adaptable, too!)
No leash aggression
Knows his basic commands and has excellent recall
A total toy enthusiast—stuffies, rubber, nylon… you name it!
Smart and eager - He responds well to verbal cues. Continued training will go a long way in helping him bond with his new family.
His ideal home:
Max would thrive in an active home that can keep him engaged and exercised. He’d absolutely LOVE another high-energy dog to play with, though it’s not required if he’s getting plenty of activity and regular dog park visits.
Because Max doesn’t quite realize how big he is (think: lovable bull in a china shop ), a home with kids 10+ would be best. He adores children but can accidentally knock over little ones in his excitement.
A few things to know:
He’s playful and persistent—he wants to be friends with everyone (even cats, though they may disagree!)
Still working on greeting manners (he gets very excited!)
Health: Max has moderate arterial stenosis and will need regular veterinary monitoring.
Bonus perk: Max LOVES car rides—open a door and he’s ready for the next adventure!
