Meet Kyro — A Big, Loving Puppy Looking for Guidance, Structure, and a Fresh Start

Kyro, is an 8-month-old, 75lb American Bulldog mix with a heart full of love and a whole lot of puppy energy. His past hasn’t been easy—he came from an abusive and neglectful situation before a caring neighbour intervened. When they could no longer keep up with his needs, Kyro was surrendered to us for a better chance at life.

Despite everything he has been through, Kyro remains sweet, curious, and incredibly affectionate. He loves walks, loves cuddles, and loves being included in anything his humans are doing. However, he is still learning how big and strong he is—he jumps when excited and could easily knock small children over. Because of this, he’s best suited for a home without young kids.

Kyro has high energy and thrives with families who enjoy staying active. He’ll benefit from plenty of exercise, mental stimulation, and consistent training. He’s smart, eager, food-motivated, and already crate trained, which gives him a great foundation to build on. He loves chew toys and responds well to leash corrections, though he may pull a bit in his excitement to explore the world.

Because he's not yet neutered, he hasn't been fully introduced to other dogs—but once his appointment is complete (next week), he may be ready for slow, positive introductions. He has not been tested with cats.

Kyro needs an adopter who understands the bully breeds, someone patient, consistent, and confident—someone who can offer both structure and love. With the right leadership, this sweet, energetic boy will grow into a loyal, well-balanced companion.
