Zane

CURRENT STATUS: URGENT FOSTER OR RESCUE NEEDED 🚨

We need help. If any rescue is able to help Zane we would transfer him over after we get him neutered. Zane has been in boarding for weeks while we search for the right placement. We're reaching out to every rescue and every experienced foster we can find, because this boy deserves better than a kennel.

Zane is a 1.5-year-old XL Bully, born January 11, 2025, weighing approximately 110 lbs. He grew up in a family home with children and is a social, loving dog who genuinely enjoys people. He's energetic, playful, full of personality, and will play fetch until you give up first. He LOVES kids, and can be fostered in a home with older children - provided everyone is comfortable with his size.

He is not yet neutered and still requires vetting.

What he needs — and why we're being specific. No other dogs in the home, for now. Zane needs decompression. He lived on the Rez, and is from Northern Quebec. He went right into boarding, and has been there for over a month. We want this guy to decompress, and we want to ensure he is set up to succeed. Zane has had great play sessions with larger dogs, and we believe he can live with them eventually. But he had a brief foster placement where our protocols weren't followed, and it created problems that set him back. We're not making that mistake twice. He goes somewhere quiet, gets neutered, decompresses properly, and only then do we talk about introductions. Bully breed experience is mandatory. This isn't a preference. At 110 lbs, Zane needs a handler who knows this breed and knows what they're doing. Someone who follows instructions. We will give clear protocols for decompression, leashing, and introductions. We need a foster who will follow them exactly, even when Zane seems like he's ready for more. Especially then.

A secure yard, space for an XL dog, and people who have time for him. Zane needs rules, structure, routine, and someone to hold him accountable.
