❄️ Meet Winter – a striking Siberian Husky with a heart as big as her personality. At 4.5 years old, Winter embodies all the wonderful qualities of her breed: she’s intelligent, energetic, vocal, and fiercely loyal. She’s looking for a foster (or foster-to-adopt) home that understands Huskies and is ready to give her the love, structure, and activity she thrives on.

💙 About Winter:

Winter is a playful, affectionate girl who loves to run, swim, and explore — making a secure, fenced yard a must for her safety and happiness. While she’s independent and occasionally opinionated (as Huskies are!), she’s also incredibly sweet and bonds deeply with her people.

She enjoys belly rubs, gentle pets between the eyes, bum scratches, and soaking up sun in the yard. She’ll greet you excitedly when you come home, and she’ll thrive with someone who can offer routine, enrichment, and calm, confident leadership.

🐾 Winter’s Ideal Home:

• ✅ Another dog in the home — she’s not suited to being an only pup and needs canine companionship

• ✅ Fenced yard for safe running and playtime

• ✅ Crate-free environment — she’s not crate trained and does not tolerate kenneling

• ✅ Older children — best with respectful kids like her current guardian’s teenage son

• ✅ Experienced owner — ideally someone familiar with Huskies or similar working breeds

• ✅ Calm, structured household — Winter thrives with routine and predictability

🧠 What Makes Her Special:

• Highly intelligent and eager to learn

• Knows many commands and responds well to structure

• Loves enrichment toys, puzzle feeders, squeaky toys & stuffies

• Social and affectionate once she feels safe

• Excellent on solo walks (may pull when walking with other dogs)

⚠️ Things to Know:

• Not spayed, or vaccinated yet — will be vetted once fostered

• Can be mouthy, talkative, and shows minor food guarding (growls only, never escalates)

• Not suitable for off-leash walks

• Can be timid in certain new situations

• Needs help easing back into social outings (dog parks, structured events)
