CURRENT STATUS: FOSTER HOME NEEDED

Rocco is a handsome 3-year-old Lab mix who has lived with Patches (a female Husky) for the past three years. He is also the father of our beloved litter, which includes Pepper, one of our current adoptable pups.

Sadly, Rocco has spent most of his life confined to a single room without walks, training, or enrichment. Because of this, he will need a patient, experienced foster or adopter who understands strong dogs and can provide the structure, exercise, and guidance he has been missing. Helping him decompress and build confidence will be essential to his success.

Rocco is currently living in unsafe, unsanitary conditions and is at risk of euthanasia if placement cannot be found. He deserves so much more — a safe, loving home where he can finally experience life outside of confinement.

• Friendly with people

• Has lived with other dogs, but we recommend a home with no other pets so he can receive undivided love and attention

• Not leash trained, crate trained, or house trained (support will be provided, including crates, haltis, and access to trainers)

• Needs immediate placement

Rocco may be shy at first, but once he feels safe, his gentle personality comes forward. He has survived so much, and with the right home, he is ready to begin the next chapter of his life — one filled with patience, structure, and love.
