Max is a 4-year-old, 65 lb German Shepherd mix with a loving heart and a well-rounded temperament. Max truly loves humans and does well with women and men alike. He is good with calm dogs, respectful with cats, and does well with children aged 5 and up. He is house trained and crate trained, walks nicely on a leash, and has a medium energy level. Max can thrive in an apartment setting as long as he receives regular walks and exercise. He is easy to handle, not a fence climber or digger, and is a low barker.

Max does show crate aggression and food aggression, so he will need a home that understands these behaviors and can manage them appropriately. In the right environment, Max is an incredibly loyal and affectionate companion. One of his favorite things in the world is playing fetch and he loves chasing a ball or toy and proudly brings it right back, ready for the next throw.

He is fully vetted, neutered, heartworm negative, and up to date on his vaccinations Max is microchipped and receives flea, tick, and heartworm prevention on the first of every month. Max will come with 30 days of free pet insurance to an approved adopter.
