Hi, I’m Max! I’m a 2-year-old Lab mix weighing about 55 lbs with a lots of energy and a big, happy personality. I’m very intelligent, obedient, and eager to learn, and I understand boundaries well - if you tell me “no,” I listen. I love staying active and engaged, and with a little guidance, I have amazing potential to learn new skills and continue growing into an incredible companion.

I love toys (especially balls!), running, walks, and treats- cookies are my favorite! I walk beautifully on leash with no pulling and I’m not reactive to other dogs or people. I get along well with dogs of all sizes, though I’m best matched with medium to large dogs, as my strength and enthusiasm could overwhelm a smaller dog. I could also thrive as the only pet.

I enjoy people and have been around children aged 7+, though due to my energy level, I’d do best in a home with kids 10 years and older. I’m not a barker, but if you’re petting me, I might stand up gently to ask for more cuddles. I can be crated if the kennel is large enough, but I wouldn’t do well crated for long periods due to my size and energy. I’m house-trained and consistently goes to the same spot to do my business. I’ve only traveled in a crate for vet and shelter visits, so car rides outside of that are still unknown.

Overall, I’m a sweet, playful, confident dog with no fears, a big heart, and lots of love to give- perfect for an active family or individual.
