Meet Boots, a sweet, confident, and affectionate 5-year-old Shepherd/Husky mix who absolutely loves her people! Boots enjoys walks, being active, relaxing outside, and spending time with her humans. She has plenty of energy but would be happy with a family who simply wants a loving companion to include in their life. Boots walks well once she settles from the excitement of getting out of her kennel, travels nicely in the car, and does well in a crate, although she may occasionally whine or howl. She has a shorter attention span but is very people-oriented and eager to learn when she realizes there are rewards involved! Boots has prey drive and cannot live with cats or small animals. Her previous shelter reported that she did well with dogs her size, so a slow, proper introduction to another confident, similar-sized dog may be possible. Boots would make a wonderful companion for someone looking for a loyal, affectionate girl to love and enjoy life with.
