Ozzy is a 5-year-old, 50 lb Chow Chow mix whose past hasn’t always been kind to him. When he first arrived, he was scared and unsure of the people around him. But with time, patience, and space, he’s begun to trust and the amazing dog underneath that fear is finally shining through.
Ozzy is well-mannered at home, fully house-trained, non-destructive, and happy to lounge on his own bed or come over when he’s ready for affection. He loves walks, zoomies in a fenced yard, stuffed toys, and a good lick mat. He’s a special boy who just needs people willing to understand him.
We want to be honest: Ozzy has a bite history and can be reactive and unpredictable, particularly around other dogs and when his collar is touched. His past trauma means he needs someone who respects his boundaries, never uses collar corrections, and is committed to patient, positive-reinforcement training. A quiet, adult-only home with experienced, understanding adopters would be ideal. Any potential canine companion would require a careful, proper introduction.
