Cookie is a beautiful Lab mix, estimated to be around 1 year old and weighing approximately 50lbs. She is incredibly sweet, gentle, silly, and playful—and her adorable underbite gives her the cutest goofy grin! Her whole body seems to wag when she's happy, and she truly wants to be everyone's friend. Cookie is a playful pup who absolutely LOVES other dogs. Her favourite thing in the world is rough-and-tumble play, wrestling, chasing, and having a canine best friend to keep her entertained. Because of her enthusiastic play style, Cookie would thrive in a home with another large, playful dog—or multiple dogs—who can match her energy and enjoy her playful personality.

Cookie would thrive with a large yard where she can run and burn off her energy, an active family committed to keeping her physically and mentally engaged, and plenty of toys, playtime, and—most importantly—canine companionship!

Cookie has been living with children ages 3 and 6 and has been wonderful with them. She is gentle, happy to receive affection, and does not jump up looking for attention. While she enjoys being around people, Cookie is truly a dog's dog—her greatest joy is having another furry friend to play with!

She loves tug toys, especially her durable Tuffy toys, enjoys being outside, and will play some fetch. However, wrestling and playing with another dog are definitely at the top of her list! Cookie is also a big chewer, so she will need plenty of appropriate toys to keep her busy. If she's bored, she may help herself to children's toys or stuffies left within reach. 😅

Cookie does pull on leash and has a strong interest in wildlife such as squirrels and bunnies, so continued leash training would be beneficial. She is very food motivated and would do wonderfully with basic obedience and leash-walking classes. She can be anxious in the car and drools heavily, so she currently travels safely in a crate to help her feel more secure. Cookie has so many wonderful qualities and will make an incredible addition to the right home. Her foster family believes she will truly thrive with at least one larger dog who can match her playful, energetic, rough-and-tumble style.
