Bonnie (affectionately called Bon Bon) is a quiet, sweet-natured girl who’s still learning to trust the world around her. Rescued from an uncertain past, she’s taking small but beautiful steps toward becoming the confident, loving dog we know she can be.
Bonnie may be shy at first, but with patience, a gentle voice, and a calm environment, she begins to open up—and when she does, she’s an absolute gem. She loves belly rubs, cozy snuggles, lounging in the sun, and rolling around in the grass. 🌿☀️
She thrives in a peaceful, structured home where she can build her confidence at her own pace. Bonnie is crate trained, sleeps through the night, and is making great progress with housetraining (though she’s not a fan of wet grass—can you blame her? 😅).
Bonnie is still working through her fears of leashes and doors, so a fenced-in yard where she can feel safe while exploring would be ideal.
She tends to bond more easily with women and needs slow, positive introductions to new people, especially men. She is not aggressive—just uncertain. Once she feels safe, she becomes deeply loyal and affectionate.
Bonnie would do well as an only pet or with a calm, respectful dog her size or larger. She’s still learning how to play and is just beginning to discover the fun in toys!
