Stan is a 3-year-old dog with tremendous potential, patiently waiting for the right person to help him fully blossom. He has made noticeable progress on leash and continues to improve with training, though he can still get a little excited while walking - something that will improve with consistency and guidance.

Stan is social and friendly with other dogs and does especially well with confident female companions. He has so far shown good manners around cats by ignoring them. With people, Stan can be timid at first, but with a gentle, patient approach, he begins to trust and show his true personality. He will require a foster willing to implement routine and structure. We recommend no small children, while we are getting to know him.

He has been in rescue for over two years and is ready for a fresh start. Stan is crate trained, partially house trained, and would do best in a home with a securely fenced yard. He does have a tendency to dig, so supervision and structure are important.

With the right environment, continued training, and a calm, understanding home, Stan has all the tools to become an incredible lifelong companion.
