At just 9 months old, Riot is a 60 pound shepherd x bully mix who has already experienced more uncertainty than any puppy should. Despite that, he has held onto the most incredible, trusting heart and is ready to find a family who will show him what forever really means.
Riot is the perfect blend of two wonderful breeds: he has the intelligence and eagerness to learn of a Shepherd, paired with the laid-back, affectionate personality of a Bully. He isn't your typical high-energy shepherd. Once he's comfortable, he's calm, settles beautifully, and simply wants to be near his people. He's very much a velcro dog -he'll follow you from room to room, not because he's demanding, but because after an unstable start in life, being close to someone he trusts makes him feel safe.

Learning new things and making his people proud (he already knows sit, stay, paw, lay down, up and go)
Watching birds, people, and the wind outside
He's very food motivated, making training fun and rewarding. He's still a puppy, so he's continuing to work on his house training and crate training, but he's eager to learn and wants to do the right thing.
Riot has made amazing progress with his confidence, with consistency and positive reinforcement, he'll happily sit when people or dogs pass and can be easily redirected. Once someone says hello, he's all tail wags. Due to his past, Riot can worry about being left behind. He may whine for a few minutes when you leave, but he settles quickly. With routine, patience, and love, his confidence continues to grow every day.
