rex

APPROXIMATE AGE: 2 years

CURRENT STATUS: FOSTER SECURED- decompressing will be available soon

Rex is a 2-year-old, 77-lb boy who has already been through more than any dog should. Rex survived severe abuse, including a traumatic injury to his ear caused by scissors. Despite everything he endured, he is still one of the most loving dogs you could meet. Rex is strong and solid, but in his mind he’s a lap dog. The second he sees you, he’ll happily put his paws on you looking for affection and connection. He truly loves people and just wants to be close to them. He is dog friendly and walks well on leash. Rex is also house trained, and does well in a crate.

Rex is affectionate, loyal, and forms strong bonds with his people. What stands out most about Rex is his ability to still trust and love after everything he has been through. Dogs like him remind us how resilient they really are. Rex is looking for a foster or foster-to-adopt home where he can finally feel safe, loved, and part of a family.
