Koda is a 7-year-old, 35 lb Pug/Australian Shepherd mix with a gentle heart and an endlessly loving personality. He has been adored by his family since 2018, but due to an incredibly difficult housing crisis, they’ve made the heartbreaking decision to find him a stable, permanent home where he can continue to thrive.
This is a genuine, compassionate rehome made out of love — Koda’s family has been turned away by landlords more than 30 times simply for having a dog. With four children to support and nowhere pet-friendly to live, they are choosing honesty and Koda’s wellbeing above all else.

Koda lives for being close to his people. He’s affectionate, loyal, and happiest when he can simply relax near you. His calm, gentle nature makes him incredibly easy to love.
🐾 Wonderful with dogs
He has lived harmoniously with both large dogs and puppies. If he’s unsure, he’ll quietly keep his distance until he feels comfortable.
👶 Amazing with children
Koda has grown up alongside kids of all ages — from newborns to teens — and has always been patient, kind, and trustworthy.
🏡 Perfect house manners
He knows his basic commands, waits politely for permission before eating, and has never needed a crate. He’s calm indoors and has been left alone for a full day or overnight without issue (with someone stopping by to check on him when needed).
😌 Personality
Shy at first, sweet-natured, mellow, and friendly with absolutely everyone. A true couch-potato cuddle buddy.

He won’t go searching for garbage, but if it’s left out, he may help himself. Otherwise, he’s a very well-behaved gentleman.
