Hi there , I’m Kira! I’m a 4-year-old, 50-lb American Bulldog, and yes… I’m totally ADORA-BULL. I may look like a little cow, but sometimes people call me pork chop.

I’m a sensitive girl with many wonderful qualities, and I’m looking for an experienced home that has time for me. I am a little nervous meeting new big scary men, but with yummy treats and some patience, I will warm up very quickly. I’m house-trained and can be left alone for up to 8 hours. I haven’t been crate trained yet, but my rescue strongly encourages it for safety and structure. I’ll need someone who believes in rules, structure, and accountability, while also giving me opportunities to learn. Someone with breed experience is a must.

I love my toys and my walks! I was returned for being reactive on leash, but with consistency, structure, and some training, I know I can improve. I’m currently hanging out in boarding right now and needed to move to the small-dog side because the big doggies scared me. Opportunities to socialize and make friends, are important for a social butterfly like me. I shouldn’t live with cats, and I could do well with kids aged 10+. Most of all, I need a family willing to invest time and basic training, because I promise, what you give me, I’ll give back tenfold.

I was saved from euthanasia one year ago, and I’m so grateful to be back in care with people who believe in me. Now, I just need the right home to give me the chance I deserve.
