Bert is a 1.5–2-year-old, 53lbs Shepherd mix, and he is truly the definition of a lovable, goofy, affectionate “lap dog” in a big dog body!

This sweet boy is full of joyful energy but also knows how to settle beautifully. After a good walk or play session, Bert is more than happy to relax and curl up nearby. He’s not a noisy dog, just a happy, social companion who loves being close to his people.

About Bert:

·       Not destructive or anxious when left alone

·       House trained, crate trained and sleeps calmly at night

·       Loves car rides and enjoys watching the world go by

·       Friendly with dogs of all sizes (especially enjoys small dogs)

·       Cat tolerant / generally fine with cats

·       Very smart and eager to learn

Bert loves children and has shown a gentle, playful attitude around them. Because of his excitement and enthusiasm, he may jump up when happy, so he’ll do best with older children or a family willing to guide his manners.

He enjoys walks, playtime with other dogs, and especially having space to run and be silly. While generally good on leash, he may feel unsure if a large dog reacts aggressively, in which case he tends to back away rather than escalate.

Bert is naturally friendly, social, and open-hearted. Bert is the kind of dog who will make you laugh every day and love you endlessly. A sweet, slightly silly, deeply affectionate boy just waiting for his person or family.
