Maya is a beautiful 5-year-old Bloodhound/Lab mix weighing about 50 lbs. She is sweet, loving, playful, and incredibly affectionate once she feels safe and comfortable. More than anything, Maya deserves a home that truly matches her needs - a place where she can relax, feel secure, and thrive.

Maya would do best in:
-A cat-free home
-A secure fenced yard where she can safely run and play
-A quieter home without loud or unpredictable activity
Someone experienced with nervous or anxious dogs
-A home where someone is around often

Maya is full of personality and joy. She loves zoomies, bouncing around like a little kangaroo, sunbathing on the deck, exploring the yard, and playing with other dogs. She does very well meeting dogs, especially in secure off-leash settings, and she enjoys daycare too.

She is a sensitive and sometimes fearful girl who needs patience, structure, and understanding while she builds confidence. Even when nervous or unsure, Maya has remained gentle and loving. She has never shown aggression during stressful situations or handling.

Maya is also incredibly smart, athletic, and FAST, so a secure fenced yard is important for her safety, especially if she spots a squirrel or something exciting to chase.

At her core, Maya is a deeply loving dog who wants connection, comfort, and someone she can trust. With the right environment and a patient family, she has so much love and happiness to give.
