Diesel is a 7-year-old Bluetick Coonhound, Cattle Dog mix, weighing in at about 63 lbs, and he’s ready to bring endless love, laughter, and loyalty to his forever family.💙
From the moment you meet him, Diesel’s sweet nature shines through. He loves being close to his people and is happiest when he can be part of whatever you’re doing — whether that’s going for a long walk 🚶, a fun play session 🎾, a cuddle on the couch 🛋️, or simply snoozing by your side 😴. As he’s settled into foster care, his goofy side 🤪 has started to come out more and more, and he keeps his foster family smiling every day.
Diesel would thrive in a home that enjoys an active lifestyle 🏞️ but also appreciates quiet evenings full of snuggles 🥰. He has shown some herding instincts 🐑, so we recommend a home without small children 👶.
When it comes to other dogs 🐕, Diesel is open to friendship but can come on a bit strong. With slow and thoughtful introductions, he does well and can enjoy the company of other pups. We haven’t seen him with cats 🐱, but given his high prey drive (he’s very interested in squirrels 🐿️ and bunnies 🐇 on walks), a cat-free home is the safest fit.

He travels fairly well in the car 🚗 (he did get sick once in the crate but otherwise settles on the road) and is learning better leash manners. Diesel loves to follow his nose 👃 and can get distracted, but he’s catching on fast to the idea of focusing on his human partner.
One of Diesel’s most endearing traits? If you sit down on the floor, he’ll run right over and shove his head into your lap 🥹💖. He has clearly been loved throughout his life, and now he’s ready to share that love with his forever family
