Indy is a sweet and loving 8 month old puppy with a calm demeanour. While he occasionally exhibits bursts of puppy energy, he is generally non-destructive and enjoys cuddling with his human companions. Indy is friendly towards both cats and dogs, making him an ideal addition to a home with existing pets. Indy has a low energy level and exhibits gentle behavior. He has met a four-year-old child and interacted positively with her. Although he occasionally becomes nippy while playing, this behaviour is easily redirected with a toy.

Indy is fully crate trained and settles comfortably in his crate overnight and when his human family is away. Initially hesitant about the crate, Indy has come to view it as a secure space, especially when provided with treats. Indy is mostly house trained, he does not bark to indicate his need to go outside but will generally approach the door when it is time to go out.

Indy walks decently on a leash and enjoys car rides. He is particularly fond of Tim Hortons doggie Timbits. He wants a family that will want to take him on little adventures, he is very well balanced and he gets along well with other dogs and cats, enjoying both play and snuggle time. He is friendly during introductions to new people and animals and has shown no signs of reactivity. Indy would thrive in a home with other pets, especially another dog that enjoys play and companionship. His calm and affectionate nature makes him a great fit for a family setting. Prospective adopters should be prepared to continue his positive reinforcement training and daily walks.

Indy’s aversion to cold weather means shorter walks are recommended during chilly conditions.
