MAXINE

CURRENT STATUS: FOSTER/FOSTER TO ADOPT URGENTLY NEEDED

Maxine is a GREAT dog and is looking to be someone's companion. She is beautiful and would desperately like a soft bed and quiet home to decompress in.

Maxine escaped death and has sadly gone back to the kennel life, and she has been placed in boarding. We are hoping we can find a home with no other dogs or cats. She will stay in boarding until we find the right match. No small children - only because we are still getting to know Maxine, and we want her to succeed.

Maxine’s journey hasn’t been easy. She was adopted in November 2024 from a high kill shelter, but heartbreakingly returned to us this March because she was a little too curious about the household cats. So, no cats for sweet Maxine.

She spent months at the shelter before she was up for Euthanasia, but we’re determined to find her the right forever home—the one she truly deserves. She is SO amazing, and people who worked at the shelter have begged us to help.

Maxine is a loving, loyal girl who does wonderfully with ppeople—happy, affectionate, and eager to connect.

She walks like a dream on a leash, and she has done well coexisting on-leash with other dogs and doesn’t go looking for trouble, but we’ve never felt 100% confident letting her off-leash with other dogs in a yard. She’s a dominant girl, but she is so sweet. That said, Maxine shines when she’s the center of attention—and we believe a single-dog home would help her truly thrive. She is a calm dog and really deserves a place she can be a true companion for someone who wants a best friend.

She’s ready to leave the uncertainty behind and step into the stable, loving life she's always needed. Maxine is waiting for her real happy ending.
